Recent H&M Purchases

I recently bought a few wee bits and bobs from H&M so I thought I’d do a mini haul! I’ve always loved H&M as you’re always guaranteed to find good basic items, they always have a huge range of bags and accessories to choose from and their Homeware section is amazing. I didn’t really have anything in mind when I was shopping – I just came across a 10% student discount code on UniDays and thought I’d take advantage of it because they very rarely do discounts. So if you want to find out what I bought keep reading!

Porcelain Mug

Have you seen how many mugs they have?! There’s over 60 different styles and a lot of them are extremely quirky and different. I opted for the white porcelain mug (£1.99) because I’ve lost my everyday one and I love the style of this. There’s something quite tranquil about using a fresh, clean-looking mug to drink my morning coffee. They do these exact ones in a few different monochrome colours so they’d be an ideal purchase no matter what colour your kitchen tableware is.

Scented Candle

I also picked up this scented candle (£6.99). I was drawn to it because of the marble effect glass holder that matches the white and cream tones in my room! I’ve yet to burn this but the smell is ‘Lavish Mahogany’ and from the initial pre-burning smell I can gather that it’s refreshing but not overpoweringly scented! From the same range, this candle comes in a pink marble effect with a ‘Wild Flower’ scent, and a dark green marble effect candle that has a ‘Olive & Sage’ scent. Similar to the mugs, there is a huuuuge range of candles (over 160) that are all different colours, shapes, sizes,  scents and prices so I would definitely recommend checking out the website if you’re as obsessed with buying new candles as I am.

9-pack Silver Rings

I have absolutely fell in love with these rings!! They are incredibly cheap at £6.99 for 9 different ones and there is the choice of both gold and silver. If you read my ‘Grad Ball Glam‘ post, you would have seen these featured. My collection of rings is a bit out of hand but these are so different from everything I own because they are thin and dainty which makes them easy to stack. I’ve been mixing and matching the different designs every day so I will definitely be picking them up in gold and other similar sets!

Small Yellow Shoulder Bag

You may have seen this shoulder bag (£13.99) featured in my ‘The Beauty of Layering’ post. This fake leather bag looks different colours depending on the light – sometimes it appears more orange-toned than yellow, but it is definitely bright yellow! It has a gold metal buckle and metal chain shoulder strap that can be tucked in if you want to make it a clutch. This is the perfect bag for Summer and it brings a colourful pop to any outfit. Although it’s named ‘small shoulder bag’ it’s definitely big enough to fit all of the essentials on a night out – I fit my makeup, phone charger, money, bank cards, comb, mini roll on deodorant and phone in it so it’s probably the ideal size of ‘small.’ They also do this bag in the most striking Barbie-coloured pink, silver and black so I think I’ll need to purchase another colour soon!

Green Shorts and Khaki Skirt

Clothes wise, I purchased green wide shorts (£8.99 reduced to £4) that are so flattering on and I know they’re going to look fab on holiday! They do them in four other colours so for £8.99 I might pick up another wee pair. I also picked up this long wrapover khaki green skirt (mines was £12.99 but here’s a similar skirt for £24.99). The back of it sits just above my ankles and it is shorter at the front. There’s concealed buttons in the inside so it fits perfectly and a tie at one side to fasten it into a bow. I’m obsessed with maxi skirts like these just now and absolutely love the fact that you can dress it up with a nice top and heels or dress it down with a t-shirt/ vest top and trainers and it will look good regardless. Again, this would be ideal for sunny weather or to wear on holiday because it’s so light and floaty but also extremely flattering.

Thanks so much for reading, I hope you liked this post and it gave you some H&M shopping inspo! X
