I recently purchased this cute blue button up paper bag skirt from Primark, but I find it quite hard to style these because the top of it is gathered rather than tight so I thought I would do a blog post incase anybody needs some inspo. As this skirt is cotton, it is so flattering on and would be perfect to wear for a big meal as it’s loose and hides any bloating! I love how it can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. I decided to glam the skirt up by wearing a lace bralet under a tie-front top, heels and a denim jacket.
I wore lots of accessories to dress my outfit up more. Because this outfit was very blue and white, I broke up the colours with a pink bag from Topshop. I’m wearing a layered necklace from Misguided, rings from H&M, a jewelled bracelet that my gran got me as a graduation present and hoop earrings from Primark. I wrapped a black and white polka dot silk scarf around my bobble to make it look like a scrunchie! The skirt comes with a blue cotton belt that would be nice to tie in a bow, but I decided to wear this white belt so there was a bit more contrast. I wore my gold wedges so that they matched with my gold jewellery and the gold chain on my bag. I love this outfit because it incorporates so many massive trends just now (polka dots, buttons, paper bag hem, lace and layering) and its dressy enough to wear to a party and if you substitute the heels for a pair of converse, it’s casual enough to wear to the pub or out for dinner!
